1. About the service
HowToCloseCompany.uk provides an informational and software service to help UK company directors understand and manage the process of closing a limited company. The service includes:
- An eligibility checker to help determine the most appropriate closure route
- A personalised step-by-step closure plan and task checklist
- Pre-filled document templates (board resolution, creditor letters, HMRC letters)
- Guides, articles, and checklists relating to UK company closure
2. Not legal or financial advice
The service does not provide legal advice, financial advice, or insolvency advice. Information provided is for general guidance only and may not reflect the most current legal or regulatory position. It is not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your specific circumstances.
For complex situations — particularly where your company is insolvent, has significant debts, ongoing legal proceedings, or substantial assets — you should consult a licensed insolvency practitioner, solicitor, or qualified accountant.
3. Eligibility to use the service
You must be aged 18 or over and a director or authorised officer of a UK limited company to use the paid features of this service. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
4. Payment and refunds
Paid plans are charged as a one-off payment (not a subscription). All prices are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is processed securely by Stripe.
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you are not satisfied with the service within 30 days of purchase, contact us at hello@howtoclosecompany.uk and we will issue a full refund.
5. Acceptable use

- Reproduce, redistribute, or resell any part of the service without our written permission
- Provide false or misleading information to the service

6. Intellectual property
All content on HowToCloseCompany.uk — including text, guides, templates, and software — is our intellectual property or is licensed to us. You may use documents generated by the service for your own company closure only. You may not reproduce or redistribute our content commercially.
